Through the gated portal between the separate suite and the garage is a two storey high covered walkway leading to the double front doors to the residence.
The columns at the edge of the walkway were specially manufactured of stainless steel and cedar for this home to bring together the widespread use of these materials throughout the site. At this point the home is a "U" shape wrapping around a central courtyard. But not a traditional courtyard. The clearly defined lines of the modern style residence are visually challenged by a free form undulating garden with water features on the side boundary wall.
The garden is a focal point from many parts of the residence and has been designed to create more than a passing view. With its extensive planting the area has already been affectionately labelled "Jurassic Park".
